As part of The Play Coalition we were asked by Beta Tank to produce the packaging for their new conceptual confectionary product, Eye Candy. The lollipop uses sensory substitution technology
to evoke images and visions in the eyes of blind and partially sighted individuals.
The packaging design incorporates a clever low-tech animation effect to transform the wording on the front of the pack from a call to action when it is closed to the brand and flavour when open. The aesthetic also lends itself faithfully to the slightly odd nature of the product.
